Accounting for strategic management & control - Research-based Case Study

Representing vital administration and control - Research-based Assignment - Case Study Example Last, two psyche maps introducing the Hotel’s issue and the article’s primary contentions are likewise included. The above brain (supplement 2) map shows the key issues confronting Boutique Hotel, which could be accused for the ongoing decrease in the money related execution. To begin with, absence of cooperation between the association and the money related office, arranged in the parent organization, is an indication of incapable administration. A company’s money related director ought to keep up steady cooperation with the organization’s chief so as to encourage a profound investigation of the organization’s current budgetary circumstance (Case study, 2014). Ave-Co’s money related division has neglected to lead a profound monetary examination utilizing different strategies, for example, proportions. The current key presentation markers utilized in the association are inhabitance rate and the arrival on venture. From monetary and money related perspective, the two execution markers are excessively feeble. The inhabitance rate for the year 2011 to 2014 were 266.45, 277.4, 295.65 and 299.3 separately, demonstrating an expansion in the inhabitance rate. then again, the arrival on speculations for that years were 6.665%, 9.483%, 13.84%, and 11.95 individually, demonstrating an expansion followed by a reduction in the advantage utility rate. Some basic part of the company’s execution, for example, expenses and liquidity is left unevaluated (Case study, 2014). In this manner, both the inhabitance and resource utility rate speak to a skeleton investigation of the organization. The nonattendance of the money related investigation of the organization has obfuscated both the management’s and the monetary department’s view to understand the inadequacy of the presentation pointers actualized in the organization. Thus, the regular old system has been in real life prompting the decrease of the company’s money related execution (Case study, 2014). Second, the readiness of financial plan is significant for arranging and controlling, planning, correspondence

Love In Todays Society Essay -- essays research papers

Love In Today's Society A vital aspect for getting Sociology and the Social Sciences as a rule is to assess subjects through time and look into attributes that have changed and those that have continued as before. For this task I have chosen for get to three sources managing love; in three unmistakable time periods in the cutting edge time. First we will overview one of the primary famous modes for the statement of affection; that of verse. I have picked a sonnet by W.H. Auden to speak to the early part of this century-explicitly the 1930s and 1940s. I realized I needed to incorporate a melody from my object of worship Jim Morrison. Not exclusively is he the ideal voice of the unstable sex unrest of the 1960s and 1970s; his work catches the profile of a hero who without a doubt obtained his tyrannical disposition from the perpetual love of agreeable ladies. Finally we enter the cutting edge period with an article from my preferred magazine Men's Health on the missteps a man must maintain a strategic distance from so as to satisfy his darling. As we will see, the expanded opportunity is exceptionally fascinating in our first portrayal to the last. I will likely show how love has changed. I want to show what is acknowledged in our general public today, contrasted and just quite a few years prior. Application My sources run the range of thoughts in the subject of affection. I think Auden's sonnet is the best portrayal of what has been named â€Å"courtly love.† This appears to be legitimate, since this Romantic Era kind of affection was a pre-cursor to what we know as present day love. The creator plays the troubadour job in his warbling style of commending his affection's characteristics. He romanticizes his mate and is fulfilled simply being in a similar room as she. There are no ulterior intentions apparent. Auden would be sorted as a â€Å"heavenly lover,† in that his affection is progressively grand and sacrosanct. There is positive complexity to this optimism however. In his last lines the creator, without reservation recounts his distress at his misfortune of her to another. Morrison's Love Her Madly could nearly be deciphered as a type of limerance. He has this extraordinary affection for his subject: â€Å"Don't ya love her madly?† Anyone who knows the narrative of Jim Morrison realizes that the subject of adoration and every one of that accompanies it was an essential feature of his being. He is a decent case of affection with regards to a hotshot performer. Morrison's tunes, what's more, most others found... ...a work their challenges out before they detonate. End It is certainly obvious that perspectives on adoration have changed in the last decade. Social structures and standards have changed and have affected individuals' choices in their own lives just as their view of others. Numerous individuals would prefer to come back to the guiltless occasions of Auden where love apparently was valid and conveyed no strings. There seems to be an issue with the expanded fracture of society with respect to discovering love today. Gone are the days when you wedded your secondary school darling and lived joyfully ever after. Expanded portability and the simplicity of movement has left love more accessible and open. Individuals need more assistance today from outside administrations like dating hotlines and the assistance of marriage mentors and physchologists to sort out their difficulties. It follows however that society is progressively intricate and in this manner better. Ladies have more rights and more state in the public arena. There is no question that females were abused more in the past than today. While society's perspectives have changed throughout the years and will keep on transforming, a certain something continues as before: affection is a main impetus in our lives.

It’s just your name.Well, we’ll give you some tips on how to write and position your name, and you can see if you’ve been doing it right.Firstly, you should write your actual government name on your resume. Refrain from using any nicknames or aliases, as that is just unprofessional. Also, there’s no need for you to write your middle name(s), just your first and last name is enough. The name that you write should be the same as the name on your social media and other info that you provided.Next, your name should b e written in big bold letters. Its position should be centered so that it’s in the middle of the page.Unfortunately, the chances are that you’re going to be one of the many people applying for the same job, and whoever’s going through all those resumes is going to go through them pretty fast. And if you don’t make your name and your resume eye-catching, they might just skip your resume completely. Here’s how your name should look like:Craig Phillips RightCraig David John Phillips WrongAdding a photo to your resume is optional and is usually only requested when it comes to certain professions. For example, the job of a civil engineer doesn’t exactly rely on your face, so there’s no need for that unless it’s stated in the job offer for some reason. However, if you want to add a picture to your resume you should know that your employer could make assumptions about you based on it, unfortunately. It’s important to note that in some countries you have to supply your empl oyer with your photo.Let’s move onto your address. It’s definitely a personal thing, and if you don’t feel like sharing your exact location in your resume you don’t have to.But, you have to share things like your area, city and country, especially if you’re applying for work somewhere else. Also, don’t forget to remove your address completely from any websites where your resume can be seen by everyone, for safety.Do the same thing with your phone number. Add these things, especially the phone number so the employer can get in contact with you, only when sending the resumes out.Your email address is supposed to be professional.Preferably, you should use the name that you put on your resume, and never use aliases or some usernames that have nothing to do with your actual name. If your email address isn’t professional, make a new one.craig.phillips@gmail.com Rightangrybird455@gmail.com WrongLast but not least, your social media should also be clean and professional.Any so cial media that you list on your resume should have your actual name and no posts about how much you hate your job.Even the ones that you don’t let your future employers know about should be the same.Submitting your LinkedIn profile is the most professional thing either way.Make sure that your URL is personalized in this case.HOW TO WRITE THE MOST PERFECT RESUME SUMMARY FOR YOUR CIVIL ENGINEER RESUME IN 2019We mentioned before that your resume is most likely just to get skimmed over by your future employer. The thing that they choose to pay most attention might differ from person to person, so the only logical thing for us to do is to teach you how to make every aspect of your resume perfect.Let’s say that they think that the best thing that they can read on your resume is the summary. That would make sense. The summary is the summary, as the name says. It’s the place where you’re supposed to write down all the most important parts of your resume and your career.Writing a sum mary is easy â€" you just have to take all the most important and eye-catching parts from the rest of your summary and combine them into three to six sentences. The summary will give more depth to your resume than just a list of your skills and accomplishments would. If you feel like you don’t know where to start when writing your resume you should just save it for last and wait till you have all the other information on paper. That would be more effective. The information that you should share in your summary is the following:Years of experienceTraining, certifications, and degreesSpecific accomplishments and received recognitionsSkills and experience that make you uniqueAreas of expertiseMake sure to only pick the most important information for your summary. When it comes to the form of your summary, you can start it by stating your professional title and years of experience.SummaryDetail-oriented and motivated licensed Civil Engineer with over 7 years of experience in… RightAfter that, you can add some more accomplishments, but make sure to have some hard numbers in there for the best possible effect.Summary (cont.)…performing intricate drafting according to procedures and requirements and inspecting and assessing various building sites.Kept track of inventory and made orders of needed materials, with great budgeting skills resulting in saving over 15% RightAdd anything that you think shows you’re the best candidate that they have ever had, and then make sure to personalize the ending of your resume a bit, maybe like this:Summary (cont.)Focused on providing high-quality solutions to any project at hand, Craig is looking for a position as a Civil Engineer. RightHOW TO MAKE THE EXPERIENCE SECTION OF YOUR CIVIL ENGINEERING RESUME STAND OUT IN 2019You shouldn’t skip this part of the guide even if you have a lot of experience, because you might have been putting in on your resume in a completely wrong way.And if you don’t have experience don’t worry, we will give you some tips on how to write this part of your resume even if that’s the case.Of course, employers will always prefer to get an employee who’s more experienced because that’s just safe. SO you have to show that all the experience that you have is exactly what they’re looking for. And how do you do that?Take care of the wording that you choose for this part of your resume, but don’t make it too fancy.Make sure to describe your tasks, responsibilities and accomplishments at your previous jobs and don’t be afraid to get into details. However, all the things that you write down should have something to do with the job of a civil engineer. But first, let’s choose the format. The best possible one is the reverse chronological order, where you start the list with your most recent position and then continue from there. This way your most recent and probably the best accomplishments will be near the top.If you don’t have any experience you can choose any format th at you want as long as you’re making your resume work for you.You can write down your volunteering practices or previous jobs or internships, but only write the skills and tasks that can translate well into the job of a civil engineer.Next, write down the name of the company where you worked, where was it, for how long did you work there and what was your professional title there.Next, get more detailed. Don’t just use one to two words to describe your experience, make yourself presentable.List your duties but turn them into accomplishments at the same time.Use some hard numbers to impress your employers and get that job.ExperienceCompleted all the needed drafting according to procedures and requirementsInspected and assessed various building sites thoroughlyKept track of inventory and ordered materials, saving over 15% of the budget RightExperienceDraftingSite evaluatingFInances and inventory WrongAnother thing that we should add is that you should use as much professional sl ang and specific skills as you can, as it will show that you actually might know what you’re doing. And remember, regardless of the level of experience that you have, always only list the skills, tasks and accomplishments that have something to do with the job that you.HOW TO MAKE THE EDUCATION SECTION OF YOUR CIVIL ENGINEERING RESUME INTO PERFECTIONIf you want to become a civil engineer you absolutely have to have at least a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and there’s no way around that. This is a serious job where the things that you do can directly affect the people who live in the area where you’re building. Peoples’ lives are at stake. In addition to that, when it comes to civil engineering you don’t have to write down anything about your high school education unless you had some special accomplishments that can be related to the job of a civil engineer. Also, there are other reasons why you should always add your education to your resume. So, make sure to list t his part of your resume properly and to make it special in some way or another, if possible.Anyway, if you went to college and got a degree you can list it like this: RightAs you can see, the first thing that you should write is the years of your education. But, if you’re still a student and you’re applying for an internship or a job even, you can list your college degree like this: RightAfter the years, write down your level of degree, and then the name of the place where you studied. Here you can see that we added some bullet points that showcase the applicant’s accomplishments during their time at college and we strongly advise that you do the same thing, but only if you have any accomplishments that are special, like winning a contest or having a really high GPA.And if you had those kinds of accomplishments when you were in high school, you can list the whole thing like this: RightHOW TO MENTION THE RIGHT SKILLS IN YOUR CIVIL ENGINEERING RESUME THAT WILL DEFINITELY GET YOU THE JOBThe skills section of your resume might seem insignificant at first. What is this, just a small list? But the truth is, that’s the place where you can put your most important attributes if you choose carefully.Your skills show more about your abilities and what you can bring to the table.Employers are usually looking for a civil engineer who is good at critical and creative thinking and is also strict when it comes to time management, which directly correlates to project management skills. Some other hard skills that you can put on your resume that are important to your job are things such as proficiency in Math and Physics, knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, STAAd Pro, structural design, geotechnical engineering, water recourses engineering, and other things.List all of the skills that you think are good for the job of a civil engineer, whether they’re hard or soft skills. And we have a tip to make things easier â€" always check the job offer in detail as they probably have already stated which skills their ideal candidate should have. The soft skills are usually some skills that all employers are looking for, but the hard ones are the ones more specific to your position.Just as with the experience section, only list the skills that have something to do with the job of a civil engineer. And also, don’t overdo it.List your skills in bullet point form like this: Right WrongUSEFUL TIPS AND TRICKS THAT YOU CAN USE TO MAKE THE BEST CIVIL ENGINEER RESUME POSSIBLEHeading of your resume â€" The heading of your resume should always be your name in big bold letters. That is the most important part. Refrain from writing “Curriculum Vitae” or any other variation of that as your heading, as everyone knows that it’s a resume. Some details are too personal â€" When it comes to writing the personal info section you should refrain from listing details that are too personal. Here are some examples of things that you shouldn’t write down: your social security number, date of birth, race or ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, children, pregnancy status or citizenship. Unfortunately, your employer might make assumptions about you based on these things.Adapting your resume â€" You should write a new resume for every job you apply for, or you can just change parts of it to make it more personal, like mentioning th e name of the company that you want to work for or changing some of the skills so that they meet their requirements.Bullet points â€" Use these to present concise information as the employers are most likely to just skim over your resume and bullet points will catch their eyes.Honors and achievements â€" Feel free to list your honors and achievements, but take care that they translate well into the job of a civil engineer. Winning an art contest is great for you, but won’t mean anything to your employer.Volunteer experiences â€" Job seekers often forget to put down their volunteer experiences, but they are just as important as the regular ones. However, pick only the volunteer experiences that showcase some skills that are needed for civil engineers.Hobbies and interests â€" If you have hobbies or interests that can be good for your job in civil engineering you should write them down on your resume, as it will make you stand out from the crowd.Languages â€" These days knowledge of various languages is greatly appreciated, and you should list all the languages you know.Descriptions â€" Be careful not to describe your achievement or experience with too many fancy words as some employers don’t like that.Length of your resume â€" The ideal length of a resume id just one page long. And that is usually how everyone’s resume looks like.Formatting â€" Keep your resume in physical and digital form, and also various types of files such as PDF or DOCX, maybe your employer will need them. Make sure to check what kind of resume your employer is looking for in the job offer.Font â€" Only use serious fonts, and refrain from the ones that look too detailed and flourished.Reviewing â€" Give yourself some time to gather your thought and look at your resume from a perspective of a potential employer. Or give your resume to someone you know who is used to looking at resumes and who can help you spot some mistakes. Use the gathered knowledge to improve your resume.Grammar ch eck â€" Always proofread your resume â€" you don’t want some embarrassing mistake to slip and ruin your chances of getting the job.Don’t lie â€" When writing about your skills and experiences don’t lie. Child Marriage in Islam and Its Consequences - 3945 Words

EARLY MARRIAGE Introduction: Early marriage is also known as teen marriage and it is typically defined as the union of two adolescents, joined in marriage from at a young age starting from the age of 14 years old. Until the late 20th century, teen marriage was very common and instrumental in securing a family, continuing a blood lineage and producing offspring for labour. Many factors contribute to teen marriage such as teen pregnancy, religion, security, family and peer pressure, arranged marriage, economic and political reasons, social advancement, and cultural reasons. Ibn Al-Mundhir said: The reliable people of knowledge agree unanimously that it is permissible for a father to marry his young and virgin daughter to an eligible man. Foundations of International Macroeconomics - MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Foundations of International Macroeconomics. Answer: Introduction According to Tamang (2013), moral leadership happens to be a very different yet distinct type of direction in the aspect of corporate governance. Instead of wanting to be followed, as a moral leader, one is required to be of service to others. In the process of serving people, we have an obligation to develop the ability to improve leadership skills of others by improving their self-esteem. This kind of leadership has nothing to do with rank since anyone, regardless of the position one is holding, can be a moral leader (tamang, 2013). However, these leaders are characterized by possessing an extensive understanding of ethics and are motivated by their pursuit of higher purposes. Policy formulation, on the contrary, entails deciding what course of action is suitable for achieving objectives of an organization. The steps towards achieving policy formulation are, therefore, important for achieving purposes of an organization (Pirtea, Nicolescu, Botoc, 2009). Strategy implementation or rather enforcement policies entail the process of making plans or ensuring that an organization's policies are put into action. It is as a result of the publication of the first King report that the corporations of South Africa have ensured that they maintain a prudent tradition of corporate governance. The fourth iteration of the same King report is the King IV, and it describes the principles, philosophy, outcomes, and even practices that are the sport-light for measuring corporate governance in RSA (Ramalho, 2016). There is a part II of the same iteration that has the core concepts and philosophy that King IV bases its concepts. According to the ideas laid in the fourth iteration, we can describe corporate governance as a process of ensuring efficient and ethical leadership exercise towards the achievement of core outcomes of governance which would include the promotion of an ethical culture within an organization, increased business performance, effective business control (strategic business management), and increased legitimacy (Ramalho, 2016). The Aspect of Moral (Ethical) Leadership Ethical leaders are associated with possessing skills that pertain to moral uplift, and they also know in which way they would best manage themselves. Such management includes the understanding of their ways of regulating temper, egos, and what way to act with nobility. Such a leader is visionary and has an enormous amount of influence on personal change. They also have a developed sense regarding emotional intelligence. They can overcome obstacles and are very skilled when it comes to providing consultative services. Behind the term moral, is the meaning that dictates what is wrong or right (tamang, 2013). However, the definition of what is right and wrong has somehow proved to be elusive considering the issue of competing needs. For instance, in case one has no trust for a leader, he wouldnt understand the direction of the programs of such a person. Leadership that is effective must, therefore, set a good example (tamang, 2013). Strategic management is all about being able to define strategies of an organization. It also entails stating the choice made by managers in setting strategies straight for their organizations. Such policies are geared towards enabling the organizations to realize better performance. Also, strategic management can be described as a process that is continuous and has the capability of appraising industries and businesses that are involved in trade activities with the organization in question (Pirtea, Nicolescu, Botoc, 2009). Strategic management has four main steps which include environmental scanning, strategy formulation and implementation, and lastly strategy evaluation. Environmental scanning is all about collecting and scrutinizing the pieces of information that are used in the strategic purposes. This stage is crucial in analyzing both the internal and the external organizational factors of influence within an organization (Pirtea, Nicolescu, Botoc, 2009). Once execution of the process of analysis is done, evaluation by the management should, therefore, be done. The stage of analysis includes structural design of the organization, resource distribution, decision making process development, and human resources management (Pirtea, Nicolescu, Botoc, 2009). Strategy evaluation is the last step, and it entails the core assessment activities like: Internal and external factors appraisal Measuring performance Taking remedial and corrective actions. Evaluation ensures that the strategies of organizations and implementation hit the requirements and objectives of the organization (Kader, 2017). All the steps highlighted above are performed in a sequential manner. Internal and External Strategic Analysis Internal analysis entails processes that identify and evaluate the organization's resources and core competencies. Under this process, issues about the organization's mission, strategic objectives, and strategies are discussed. Internal analyses are geared towards identifying an organizations strengths and weaknesses. To ensure a proper internal analysis of an organization, the analyzers need to gather and analysis relevant data concerning the organization. The data should include the organizations environment, its staff, and operations. With the obtained pieces of information, conclusions regarding the environment of the body need to be formulated. Also, feasible alternatives need to be determined and appraised. The next step is to weigh risks and then perform the selection of the most viable alternative. Last, implementation of the appropriate option is done. The results are then monitored. External Analysis, on the contrary, involves studies performed on the threats and opportunit ies within the environment of an organization. O of the essential tasks in this process is to differentiate strengths and weaknesses from opportunities and threats. Opportunities in external analysis happen to be conditions that favor the environment of an organization. Such an environment can produce good rewards if properly leveraged. Threats should, therefore, be eliminated since they are barriers which prevent organizations from achieving their desired objectives. King IV Objectives By ensuring that businesses organize the appropriate practices as required by the role of governance, King IV has therefore been applied in such organizations as a model in which any particular area about management within a corporation ought to be approached. The objectives of the fourth iteration are: To ensure that corporate governance becomes an important aspect of running a business organization and that the fundamental principles and philosophical aspects of leadership such as legitimacy, effective control, ethical culture, and good business performance are met at all times. To ensure that the King IV principles are accepted within business organizations and thus hasten the implementation of policies in various sectors of an organization. To ensure that the aspect of corporate governance is accepted and reinforced as interrelated forms of agreements geared towards getting understood and implemented in a way that is integrated. To ensure that meaningful report making and transparency are encouraged. Integrated thinking is one particular aspect of corporate governance that King IV upholds very much. Integrated thinking takes into account the aspects of interdependencies and connectivity in some factors that are likely to influence an organization's capability to be able to create value with respect to time. There are distinguishing features of King IV that need to be understood as long as corporate governance in concerned (Ramalho, 2016). The very first is that King IV is different from its predecessors in the fact that it advocates for the outcome-based approach geared towards the achievement of the ultimate principles of corporate governance. Another feature is that the iteration has a clear difference made between the practices and the principles of good governance. Also, the philosophy has been designed to ensure that many business leaders can access it and to make sure that they can reinforce holistic leadership within their organizations. King IV also provides elaborated gu idelines on which way the recommended practices should be applied within an organization bearing in mind the size of the organization and the available resources (Ramalho, 2016). Elements of Corporate Governance in the J.S.E. Listing Requirements The core functions of the JSE to ensure that facilities are provided for securities listing. Companies that are already listed will enjoy a marketplace that is orderly and suitable for trading because of the securities and the regulated market made possible by the JSE (Nexis, 2011). In the listing requirements are rules governing the actions of all corporations and also the obligations that are handed to the companies that are in the listing. The rules also ensure that the JSE business is performed in line with the interest of the public. It would appear rather unrealistic and impracticable for the requirements of JSE alongside its procedures to try to govern the circumstances likely to arise in corporate governance. The Listings Requirements of JSE, therefore, has two categories which are: General principles that have to be observed in every corporate action and the listed securities submissions; and The body of Listings Requirements that is made up of sections and practice notes. The Listings Requirements main body is obtained from the interpretation and application of the Principles stated in the JSE. According to the principles, JSE can modify the requirement of an application within the main body in case the circumstances are exceptional. The Listings Requirements users have to, therefore, adhere to the spirit and the precise wording in the main body. In the case of any forms of doubt within the Listings Requirements, organizations can consult the JSE (Nexis, 2011). Any business organization with the need to have its securities kept at par needs to apply for the JSE listing. However, such a company needs to be compliant to the JSE requirements before achieving such listing. The JSE Board has ensured that its authority is delegated about the Listings Requirements. In case the matter of listings gets considered for a particular business organization by the JSE, advisers are likely to accompany relevant stakeholders of that particular business organization (Nexis, 2011). The Public Finance Management Act, on the contrary, is important for corporations because it regulates financial management aspects within RSAs national and provincial governments. It also makes sure that the revenue, assets, expenditure and liabilities of the two named parties are managed effectively and efficiently (NATIONAL TREASURY, 2000). The Public Finance Management Act also provides the responsibilities for one who is entrusted with ensuring financial aspects of management in the national and provincial governments. Lastly, the Public Finance Management Act provides solutions for matters associated with corporate governance (NATIONAL TREASURY, 2000). The Implications of the Sarbane-Oxley Act on the Activities of Corporations Wishing for USA Listing. For all the corporations that are likely to wish to obtain the USA listing, they are required to meet the demands of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The companies would also incur extra costs that are attributed directly to the American legislation. Such initial costs are related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and comprise of annual audits expense that is passed on to clients by such public accounting corporations. There are also accounting companies that incur extra liability costs as a result of mismanaged time and increased due diligence for the completion of the audits (Slaughter, 2017). Due to the broadened audits scope as a result of Section 404 inclusion, these public companies will ensure that the pay high audits prices and also ensure that they purchase internal control software (Slaughter, 2017). Conclusion In summary, strategic management happens to be crucial for both small scale and large businesses. On the contrary, strategic management happens to be tough to achieve if there are no set goals for the organization. Understanding what core competencies mean is a proper standpoint in which organizational strengths and weaknesses are recognized. Such is also important in ensuring that areas that require improvement are identified. The identification is to make sure that set goals and objectives are strategically placed to tackle the organizations weaknesses (Management, 2017). Strategic management is all about being able to define strategies of an organization. It also entails stating the choice made by managers in setting strategies straight for their organizations. Strategic management has four main steps: Strategic management is also a platform that enables decision-making and priority setting (Kader, 2017). This management process also helps in: According to the concepts laid in the fourth iteration, we can describe corporate governance as a process of ensuring efficient and ethical leadership exercise towards the achievement of core outcomes of governance which would include the promotion of an ethical culture within an organization, increased business performance, effective business control (strategic business management), and increased legitimacy.
